Jane Bullough, the daughter of James and Martha, was born in about 1826. She married Alexander Grierson on the 21st August 1851 at St Mary the Virgin Blackburn. At that time Alexander was a draper of Blackburn, his father Joseph Grierson. Their son James was born in April 1854 but died within a day and was buried on the 8th April 1854. At that time the family were living at Timber Street, Accrington. He was buried at Christ Church, Accrington. Alexander died on the 13 May 1858 aged 37 and was also buried at Christ Church, Accrington. He was living then at Broad Oak. Their daughter Martha was born after Alexander’s death on the 12 August 1858 at Southport. By the 1861 census, Jane and daughter Martha were living with James at Myrtle Bank House, Baxenden, Accrington.
