- KCFA are now actively working with SNH towards taking over the management of Kinloch Castle through a Scottish Incorporated Charitable Organisation (SCIO). The plan is that through a phased process, creating bed and breakfast rooms in the former hostel accommodation, including more bathrooms, also putting in again the bar and bistro and then working towards restoring the other better letting rooms, and the ‘museum’ rooms. This is an opportunity to make a difference not just to the castle but the accessibility of Rum to overnight visitors.
- Anyone with useful skills, please contact the Honorary Secretary. We are looking for people to help with publicity, crowdfunding, fundraising, etc etc.
- Work parties will in future be working towards the restoration of the castle. Join us in the exciting phase in the life of the castle.
